About the Winery:
In 2003, after more than 40 years producing and commercializing the grapes from our own vineyards to some of the most prominent wineries in Argentina, we decided to start with our own wine production with the objective to produce premium wines. For that purpose, in 2005 we acquired a small winery constructed in 1938 in the city of La Consulta, Valle de Uco. The winery was constructed by a visionary winemaker who followed the guidelines of the French wineries rather than the ones used the Argentine of the 30s, constructing a series of small concrete tanks to be able to produce high quality wines.
Our vineyards are located in the Valle de Uco, Mendoza, at an altitude of 1100 meters above the sea level. Our soil is calcareous, sandy on the surface and stony in depth. This type of soil, typical of the Gualtallary area where our vineyards are located, soils of natural low yields and high concentration. The continental climate and the height allows a high temperature range between day and night, which means that the skin of the grapes is widened to protect them, being the skin the main key of the flavors that can be distinguished in our wines. In line with our commitment to the environment, the entire plantation has a drip irrigation system.
