About Tabali: Tabali is a family winery in Limarí Chile, founded by Guillermo Luksic and today led by his son Nicolás. They produce exclusively wines of terroir that express their place of origin with purity and precision.
High lands, almost reaching the sky. Fresh, clean air that comes in from the Pacific Ocean and enters damp, saline coasts. Sun and little rain. Limestone soils. Viña Tabalí chooses slopes facing away from the sun, which are unique and exceptional terroirs for singular wines.
The particular nature of the terroir in each of our vineyards means that Viña Tabalí’s production is appreciated by people who value wines with character. We are the pioneers and the biggest innovators in developing viticulture in the Limarí Valley.
About your wine guide, Terence Shiple:
As Assistant General Manager/Wine Director, Terence started the wine shop and cellar program at The Commonwealth Club in 1991. In September 1999, he was hired as the French Estates Import Director for The Country Vintner for 10 years, spending 6-8 weeks of the year in France sourcing wines to import for the mid-Atlantic region.
After departing The Country Vintner in Spring 2009, he developed J. W. Sieg Wines with Terry Sieg, who had sold his family beer distributorship back to Budweiser, to pursue a lifelong passion for fine wines.
As Vice President of Sales and Portfolio Development, he assembled a formidable selection of domestic and imported international wines along with sake and ciders.
He joined Biagio Cru in February 2016 as Mid-Atlantic Sales Director where he remains today handling the following states - North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Metro DC, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
